HEMPHILL MIDDLE SCHOOL

Designed by Bennett, Wagner & Grody Architects, P.C., Hemphill Middle School is a new 42,313 SF single-story middle school with exterior sitework and landscaping.  Sustainable building elements included the following:

• Sustainable Site: Restored 100% of disturbed areas to natural grasses, no permanent irrigation used for landscaping
• Water Efficiency: Reduced irrigation due to native seeding and xeriscaping
• Materials & Resources: Construction waste recycling diverted 40% of waste from landfills
• Indoor Environmental Quality: Operable windows allowed for increased fresh air
