Our project manager Kevin McGuire and the construction superintendent Rod Gunlickson, are true professionals and were a pleasure to deal with. From the outset there was easy access to each of them, their staffs, and subcontractors. Such free and open communication instilled a sense of confidence that the project would go right, and indeed that has been the case. The subcontractors were well selected and well managed at all times during the project. Of the few change orders we did have most were owner initiated or municipally required, and the value management talents of GTC’s managers, estimators. Etc., kept all of them reasonably priced. In fact with their active pursuit of value management techniques, a couple of our change orders were actually reductions. They worked closely with us to manage the overall project costs to be within our budget without compromising the design. In addition to excellent cost management and speed of execution, quality was always maintained. Another talent GTC excels at is governmental relations, i.e. building inspectors, zoning administrators, and the other numerous municipal, county, and state officials. No project wiII go well if these people aren’t satisfied, the atmosphere of open communications and integrity with which GTC conducts
business impressed these people too and resulted in very few political problems.”
